Austin-based private equity firm Presidio Investors announced Monday the sale of Podium Entertainment, a Los Angeles-headquartered independent publishing company, to Flexpoint Ford and Shamrock Capital. GoldState Music will participate in the deal as a minority investor, adding a music industry dimension to the new ownership structure.
Podium Entertainment has carved out a significant position in the independent publishing landscape, representing more than 3,000 authors ranging from emerging voices to established bestsellers. The company focuses on discovering, developing, and amplifying authors' works, positioning itself as a full-service growth partner for writers across genres.
